Chopard’s Alpine Style Boutique in Courchevel By Priyanka Sippy
In our tireless hunt for Exquisite Spaces, EE zeroed in on the gorgeous new Chopard boutique in Courcheval 1850, all set to open its doors to enthusiastic skiers.
A ski resort in the French Alps, Courcheval is part of Les Trois Vallées, amongst the largest linked ski areas in the world. Courchevel includes the towns of Courchevel 1300, Courchevel 1550, Courchevel 1650, and Courchevel 1850, whose names reflect their altitudes in metres.
Located in the heart of the winter sports resort, at the entrance to the Espace Diamant arcade, Chopard’s Courchevel boutique prepares to stun. Designed in an Alpine style, with a contemporary décor, using superior traditional materials, it boasts an impressive surface area of 70m2.It will be Maison Chopard’s 161st boutique, showcasing the brand’s revered watch and jewellery creations created by gifted artisans in their company workshops. The boutique will be a perfect showcase for its casual chic Alpine Eagle and Happy Sport collections, synonymous with the ethos of leading a sporty and elegant lifestyle.
In keeping with the tradition of the Scheufele family tradition, every boutique is designed to reflect the image of a true family residence where visitors immediately feel at home. As they travel the world, they are invited to visit each of these boutiques, with a combined feeling of discovery and homecoming.A space that is more than just a store, imbibing the region’s local flavour, aiming to offer customers a unique and unforgettable experience.
The Chopard boutique in Courchevel is reflective of a Mountain chalet, with antique oak parquet floors.Snug sofas placed around a striking fireplace made of local slate add charm and comfort, inviting you to get comfortable. Chopard aims at offering customers an unforgettable experience, which is a sense of family, more than just a watch and jewellery manufacturer.
It will also include a new Art in Time space. Chopard’s Co-President, Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, has conceptualised a sales lounge entirely dedicated to Art in Time. This unique concept is a network of watch galleries bringing together timepieces by independent watchmakers recognised for the artisanal and original approach. Following the very first concept store opened in Monaco in the spring of 2019, this latest gallery, located in the Chopard boutique, becomes the second in this series of establishments dedicated to independent fine watchmaking.
Imbibing the local flavour of the region, this Exquisite Space still stands out.
