Fendi’s Peekaboo X-Lite- Unstructured. Versatile. Contemporary

First launched in 1925 by Adele and Edoardo Fendi in Via del Plebiscito, Rome, Fendi has blazed it’s own trail in the world of high fashion and luxury. Come 1946, the five second generation sisters, Paola, Anna, Franca, Carla and Alda, contributed hugely to the success of the company.  Silvia Venturini Fendi, the daughter of Anna,  joined Fendi  in 1994 and is the Creative Director for Accessories and Men’s lines.

Following on from our on-going series on Fendi, we now bring you the Peekaboo X-Lite. On the wave of the 10th anniversary celebration of the Maison’s Peekaboo bag and the #MeAndMyPeekaboo campaign, Fendi unveils the Peekaboo X-Lite, the newest addition to the Peekaboo family and an extension of the iconic bag designed by Silvia Venturini Fendi in 2008. An unexpected unstructured version of it surprises as it delights. EE’s choice for this season’s everyday bag. – By Priyanka Sippy

Fendi Peekaboo X-Lite

Unveiled at the Women’s Fall/Winter 2018-2019 catwalk, the X-Lite astounded with its unstructured lines, attention to detail and unfailing quality.

With a new, modern and functional hobo-shaped silhouette emerges a strong yet soft structure, a perfect balance that infuses this timeless bag with a new contemporary and relaxed attitude.

The leather used is extremely soft, both outside and inside and the “smiley look” of the Peekaboo is highlighted fabulously. Hand-painted sides amplify the design aspect of the bag.

The Peekaboo X-Lite comes in neutral colours – such as black, moss green, brown and beige – colour-contrasted by the only internal pocket in pastel, neutral tones or iconic FF logo jacquard. In some variations, the FF logo also embellishes the internal lining in soft shearling.
